About This Curiosity

Condition & Care

This collection of three vintage Walkers Crisps models has previously been enjoyed as part of someone's treasured display. All three are in good display condition, with the only noticeable issue being one of the small roof bars, which is slightly bent inwards and slight scratch across the Crisps logo on the maroon one.

The models will be lightly cleaned before despatch. We will also send you detailed photographs with your invoice, giving you the opportunity to examine their condition more closely before deciding whether to proceed with your purchase.

Please Note

These are vintage collectibles intended for adult collectors, not toys for children. They may contain small parts and should be kept out of the reach of children. As with any vintage items, please handle them with care.

Price

£8.49 for the set of three Walkers Crisps models.

Please note: The curiosities we sell are, by their nature, vintage or previously used items. They may show signs of age, require additional care when handling, displaying or storing them, and some may be fragile. Parts that were originally designed for practical use, such as handles, may no longer be strong enough to support an item's weight, and items may no longer function or perform as they were originally intended. Please handle all items with care and consider their age and condition before use.

Toys and Collectibles: Sebastian's Curiosities specialises in vintage items and collectibles intended for adult collectors, rather than toys for children. Even where an item was originally marketed as a toy, it is included in our collection because of its vintage or collectible interest. Such items should be treated as collectibles, are suitable for adults only, and should not be purchased for children or left within their reach.

Please read our Buying and Owning Vintage Items Information before making a purchase.

Sebastian's Curiosity

I can imagine these three little Walkers Crisps vans sitting proudly in someone's display cabinet, perhaps collected over time alongside other miniature vehicles. Maybe their original owner remembered seeing similar vans on the road, or simply enjoyed collecting models featuring familiar British brands. It's lovely to think about the memories these little collectibles might hold, and the chance for them to bring a touch of nostalgia to someone else's collection.

The History Behind This Curiosity

A Little History: Walkers Crisps and Promotional Model Vans

Walkers Crisps has been a familiar name in British homes for generations. Founded in Leicester in 1948 by Henry Walker, the company grew from a local meat business into one of Britain's best-known crisp brands. Its colourful packaging and memorable advertising have made Walkers a recognisable part of everyday British life.

Miniature delivery vans and advertising vehicles have long appealed to collectors because they combine the charm of a little model vehicle with the familiar names of real businesses. Models featuring brands such as Walkers Crisps offer a miniature snapshot of Britain's commercial history, bringing together transport, advertising and memories of products people have known for years.

For some collectors, the attraction is the vehicle itself; for others, it's the brand on the side that catches their eye. Perhaps they remember seeing delivery vans on their local streets, visiting a corner shop for a packet of crisps, or recognising the familiar Walkers name from family shopping trips. Sometimes it's these small, everyday memories that make a model feel special.

I can imagine these three little Walkers vans once sitting proudly in a display cabinet, perhaps collected alongside other miniature vehicles and treasured over the years. Now they offer another collector the chance to own a small reminder of a well-known British brand and the everyday moments associated with it.
